St Anne feast in Sorrento

In the magical village of Marina Grande in Sorrento on the 26thof July 2011 is renewed the appointment with the traditional Feast of St. Anne, the patron saint of the quaint seaside village of Sorrento. One of the most representative and bound by traditions places of Sorrento, where the time seems to have stopped and where it seems like intoxicated by the sea and saltiness scent.

The St. Anne feast puts on both religious sides and the folk side of Sorrento. Religious rites including the procession of the statue of St. Anne, but also popular events, music, games and typical products tastings. In this feast day, in fact, takes place the Fish Festival with a menu based on the catch of the day, as demonstration of maritime vocation of Sorrento.
Last but not least breathtaking fireworks show which lights up the sea, the village of Marina Grande and envelop the audience in a dreaming atmosphere.
